I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
